Friendly service and really tasty food. In addition to my daughter's delicious birthday cake, the raisin bread with icing and strawberry cream cheese are extraordinary! Wonderfully easy ordering for the cake and easy pickup in store.
Great customer service; very willing to work to give you exactly what you want. Ordered a full sheet cake and have never been more pleased. It was delicious and all my guests raved about it. Thank you Heitzmans!
Absolutely the best! Staff is warm and eager to please. Perfect spot for everything from a delicious lunch, a small group gathering, or picking up items to serve at home that will wow your family and friends. A "must try" in the Louisville area.
Our breakfast sandwich was very good. The remodel has really made the customer flow better. Still a nice, friendly staff!

I got married a couple years ago and ordered cupcakes for 150 and they not only tasted wonderful but people still rant and rave about them! I highly recommend Heitzman! Everything they make is incredible!
If you are getting a cake for birthdays, they will write 'happy birthday' with icing in you color of choice. Special occasion cards are also sold in the store. I've tried: pistachio cake Snickerdoodle cookie Variety of donuts (bacon, cinnamon twist, lemon filled, creme filled with chocolate icing, strawberry, original, cake, raspberry filled, coconut) Bread pudding Interestingly, my favorite so far has to be the snickerdoodle cookie that I got for free with the check-in offer. Soft, buttery, and not too sweet. I've moved to this area recently and only visited this place twice but I'm excited to try more!
Bakery yes, and a Restaurant too. They offer all kinds of good food, Great for grabbing lunch to go, or enjoying your food right there. I've had it warmed to go, and eaten in. Staff is wonderful, making suggestions with all the Yummy choices.
I just love this bakery. My first visit has been my only visit so far but they are the best bagels I've ever had. The people that work there are super nice too. I've been in Louisville for a couple years not sure why it took me so long to find Heitzman's.
Used Heitzman for our wedding cake, it was beautifully decorate, delivered on time with no issues, and exactly as discussed when we met with the cake designer originally. Excited to receive our anniversary cake in a year as the almond and strawberry cake went quickly! Would definitely recommend for others looking into wedding cakes.
